I am unfortunately unsatisfied with my 1st time shopping online with Nordstrom.

I ordered a perfume, Baccarat 540, and was very excited about receiving it. Not only is this perfume have a delightful scent, it is also very expensive.

I opened my box and discover that the part where you sprayed the perfume , had gone rusted. I reached out to the customer care center and was told that they would do even exchange with no problem. I received an email 2 hours later saying that my order was canceled without any explanation.

I sent a email back requesting a recent a reason as to why my order was canceled. Two more hours later I got a response saying that the order was found and it was information miss handled on the department, therefore my order would be able to be to go forth and be processed, I would just need to go call the Customer Care for a Replacement order.

When I called the line, I was told that because an exchange was already in the system and then was canceled, even though it was not on my part or my fault, the system would not let them do another exchange.

I would have to send my product back to them, get a refund on that card and then once I received my refund then I could reorder the item. I asked how long this would take because that was not fair to me as the customer when it was It's not my fault.

I was told that it could be anywhere from 7 to 14 business days for the refund and then it would be for me to receive my perfume, probably another week or 2. I am very upset that I have to be inconvenienced this way as well as there could have been an exception made considering this was not the fault of me, the customer and I am very displeased with nordstrom .KK

User's recommendation: Know the return and exchange policy first.

Preferred solution: Exchange item as arranged. The mistake was not the fault of me, the customer, so I should not be penalized for this. .

Nordstrom Pros: Availability.

Nordstrom Cons: Exchange policy.
