- - The order never shipped or delivered and sat in the warehouse.
- - No proactive updates or real help from support; no escalation, compensation, or care.
Do not order anything from Nordstrom
I am extremely disappointed with @Nordstrom. My daughter ordered a Father's Day gift (Order #54266****).
Not only was it never delivered, but it never even shipped! It just sat in their warehouse. There were no proactive updates, and there was no real help from support. Is this the new standard of 'premium' service?
I had to follow up and was met with empty apologies and no help. No escalation, no compensation, no care.
Disappointing experience. I won't trust them again for important date gifts.

Verified ReviewerCancelled order
- - Nordstrom canceled the order, saying the item wasn't available.
- - The item later appeared at the same store for $4 more, and the customer paid yesterday.
Yesterday, Mother's Day, I ordered perfume online and was due to pick up the order today. Instead of that happening, Nordstrom canceled my order, stating the item was not available.
I was fine with that. The exact words were: We are sorry, we couldn't find the item at our store. I then went back online to find the item somewhere else. Lo and behold, the item is still available at the same store where I purchased it, but $4 more.
If I had been told that the price was not available, although I would not have felt that was right, I would not feel as though I was lied to. I purchased the item yesterday, and the charge went through on my card. The price was available yesterday, so I feel that Nordstrom should give me the item as agreed to via their website yesterday. To be told they are out of the item when they are not is deceptive.
This is the first purchase I've ever made from Nordstrom anywhere, and the experience comes off as very opportunistic and deceptive. It's not at all about the $4 for me. But apparently, it is about the $4 for your company. I just earned my BA and am planning my wardrobe purchases for my career as we speak.
It's safe to say that Nordstrom will not be in any of those purchases, and I will be as vocal as I can to people I know and on my social media platforms as well about how your $4 has alienated a customer for life. I am not a young person; I have had a career in customer service, coincidentally enough.
I know from an ethics standpoint that your actions are plain bad business. Respectfully, Vicki Morris
Usuallly don’t get items with the anti theft pellet on it when I order from Nordstrom
The ink pellet was left on my sweater, I need to send it back and have yall remove it! Could you send me a return sticker, and help me make this nick and Zoe sweater wearable
User's recommendation: Inspect garment when first purchased!

Verified Reviewer |Stolen dresses
- - Nordstrom Chicago sold Dress to Population dresses worth over $4,000.
- - I couldn't exchange; no receipt due to an email error, and the dresses were donated.
I think most consumers should read this review its very important before shopping in Nordstrom
I live overseas I was visiting Chicago and bought several dresses from the brand dress to population in Nordstrom the value of the dresses is over $4000 when I bought the dresses I was not informed that deciding, and this brand runs extremely small and is not accurate that is information that Nordstrom is a oblige to provide for their customers which they do not. I bought the sizes small which I usually wear I traveled back home as I do not reside in Chicago when I put the dresses on I saw that they fit more like an extra extra small or an extra small.
I couldnt even put them on my visit to Chicago a few months later, I brought the dresses back to exchange I looked for the receipt and could not find it and realize that originally the sales person made a mistake when they entered my email address, and therefore I never received the receipt for the items I brought them back to exchange without a receipt just to go up a size to a size medium I brought them back to the skokie Ill Orchard shore. And was told to leave them at customer service and contact the store manager that will approve the exchange. I waited quite a while nobody ever got back to me. I left the dresses behind because thats what the manager in charge of that time told me to do I did not leave them on my own volition.
She told me to leave them. She also wanted to check them. All the dresses were brand new had all the tags on them, I did as I was instructed by that manager and eventually had to go back home again I overseas later the manager and a lady from corporate office and the CEO received my email in regards to this exchange. Ill get back to me saying that they will not be exchanging the dresses I need to come pick them up or they will be giving them to donation , I could not come pick them up because I already flew back home.
I dont reside in the United States. They refuse to ship the dresses to me and said the dresses are going to donation I lost over $4000 in monetary value for these dresses, including the dresses, I filed a police report And I will be litigating the case in court against them. Anybody who would like to join is welcome and encourage you all to file. Police reports anything that was done to you by Nordstrom and take them to court they should be held liable.
This is customer service. This is inappropriate behavior and you were wrong as well Which Im sure reading reviews online a lot of customers were wrong by them you should hold him liable do not let them get away with it. This is extremely wrong they stole over $4000 from me and gave it to donation.
The fault was theirs. they never emailed me the receipt and they never told me that the brand runs super small , both were their responsibility .
Instead of shipping me the dresses and accommodating, because I really live overseas, they chose the route of donating my dresses and keeping them for themselves as I do not reside in the United States I cannot have come back and picked them up, and the only reason they were left behind is because the store manager told me to leave them behind in order to exchange them

Verified ReviewerThey claim gift certificates do not expire but they refused mine
- - A gift certificate from years ago was found with my name.
- - I was told it doesn't expire, yet they won't accept it and the website offers no help.
Many years ago, my Aunt bought me a gift certificate and forgot to give it to me. Recently, she passed and this was located in envelope with my name on it.
Despite being told they don't expire, they won't accept it.
I went to their website and they wouldn't help me either. It's for a small amount ($25) but, I've gotten no where.
User's recommendation: Don't buy their gift cards. They may deny you too

Verified Reviewer1 order, 2 stores, 3 errors and still no order fulfilled
- - Delivery was misrouted to Melrose and redirected to Grove.
- - Grove staff were rude and unhelpful.
- - My husband drove from Santa Monica to pick it up.
I placed an order after receiving a settlement for my dream bag that I could finally afford And then 24 hours later it was somehow out of stock. So I pick a far back 2nd choice and some Gucci flats to be delivered to the Nordstrom The Grove, in Los Angeles.
I caught the error of it being sent to the Melrose location and called them first thing in the morning.
To be fair, they were so sweet and found a solution - send it to the Grove store by 2 pm. I called them back that after and confirmed they sent it.
I called the Grove location to confirm they had it and let them know I was having a bad pain day so my husband was getting my new luxury bag I had worked so hard for. The woman was straight up rude and very un-Nordstrom. She informed me that I was making them work and had to go check the store room.
It was not there and she said I needed to just figure it out. I asked if it could be anywhere else and she sighed and said, you really want to make us go down to the loading dock?! I asked if she wouldnt mind because I was SO excited about it, it was thousands of dollars and my husband just drove an hour in LA traffic. She never asked my name even or said hi.
She never got the order number right either. I asked what her name was and she said something like Ahaha? I dont think it was real.
Im a disabled chronic pain patient and cant drive so my husband left an appointment early and drove from all the way from Santa Monica to Beverly Hills to pick it up. My husband still stopped by and they were just as rude to him and I just need to figure it out tomorrow with the Melrose location
Honestly Im shocked and disappointed.
Ive always shopped at Nordstrom since my teens, even though it was out of my budget. But now that I came into some money regarding horrific things from childhood, I thought at least deserved a purse I have always wanted to treat myself.
Today took that excitement away from me and now it just feels like work and like Im inconveniencing people. Im just disappointed at the decline of customer service at the Grove location and at my favorite store, the cancellation of my dream bag, and the behavior from this woman today. My husband said she was really rude to him as well, never asked him and did say goodbye.
Apparently we are just a big inconvenience.
I just want my stuff now. Im not even excited but it was expensive. So yeah. There is a screen shot below of my order number, my name, payment I for and address.
My husband dosent have time to stop working and drive to another location.
So I guess I need it shipped and it gets to me when it does. If it is shipped, I need to give delivery instructions to ensure I get it and it isnt stolen.
I had fantasized about strolling out (or rolled in a wheelchair) out of Nordstrom to the gorgeous Grove at night with all the lights and fountains and me, with a big bag silver Nordstrom bag filled with a perfectly hand wrapped luxury bag Saint Laurent bag in its box and beautiful Gucci slides.
Nowits just kind been ruined. Im really sad.

Verified ReviewerOut of $1000
- - Package marked delivered by USPS but not received; Nordstrom shoes from Roosevelt Field.
- - Paid $952.66; 3/25 deadline passed; refund denied.
I was supposed to receive a shipment on 3/22/24 from Nordstrom (order shoes from Roosevelt field) USPS stated on the tracking that they delivered it at my mailbox but no package was found. I contacted customer service, they stated to wait until Monday 3/25/24 to see if the package arrives because sometimes USPS will marked as delivered and the package wont show up until a day or so.
I did just that and still nothing. I called back customer service to let them know and the rep told me someone from financial services would contact me. No one did so I called today 3/28/24 to follow up. The rep sent a message to financial services and I received an email basically stating they wouldnt be issuing me a refund and they understand how frustrating it is and I should file a police report!
So it was ok for me to dish out $952.66 to your corporation for the item that I didnt receive to then be told file a police report! So I asked why didnt they issue a signed signature? The financial services rep stated that its not apart of their policy to do. This is the second time this happened to me as far as not receiving my package.
First time the store salesman sent it to the wrong address. This time it was the right address but the package still was not delivered! I am truly frustrated to be out of so much money and not have any other options to receive a replacement!
I was hoping to receive my refund and purchase it in store from another location near me. Not only will I be filing the police report but I definitely feel like I need to bring this to small claims court.
- Customer service tried to help
- Financial services have no other option to accommodate me
Preferred solution: Full refund

No one was deceiving you, they couldn’t find the item. It was more than likely boxed up and when scanned and added to inventory the new price also shown. If you think one online order triggered someone to misinform it’s in-stock status and that person had the authority to change the price you don’t know how retail inventory works.
