Norstrom Garden State Plaza I wanted to return cosmetics. The Norstrom stickers was attached .

I paid cash. I was told by the associate to show ID (drivers license) and entering my personal information into the computer. I said that does not sound legal. It is an invasion of my privacy.

What they do with your info and how is stored for how long they keep it. This is misleading to the consumer, especially in a day when we all confront identity theft. No more Norstrom for me. That was my last purchase at that store.

Pissed consumer .

Norstrom of Garden State. It is that legal.

These are the procedures at many retail stores. If you don't want to go through the hassle for a return, then you should've kept your receipt.

Entering your ID info is common procedure if you have no proof of purchase. Cash isn't traceable. Rules are the rules.

Don't like it??? Then don't lose your receipt!!!
